Without a strong focus on sponsorship and fundraising, Fishability QLD will not reach its true potential. The program and the opportunities delivered to disadvantaged and socially isolated people in the community requires community care and support. The money donated to Fishability QLD is used to enhance the quality of the fishing activities so that people living with less opportunity, can enjoy a meaningful program to look forward to each occurrence.

The coordination of any organisation requires at least one person at the helm who knows how the organisation operates and liaises with government to ensure all requirements are met. The coordination of health and safety, management of funding, policies and procedures, coordination of volunteers and participants is a role too great for one person to achieve on a voluntary basis. Therefore, a proportion of the funds received by Fishability QLD goes to employ qualified facilitators who ensure the organisation can deliver a sustainable service of value.
